What is a kick? is it the OBD->usb/serial interface? I'm from USA and don't know for sure the lingo.

I have been using the kwp 2000 for quite some time. However on occasion I do have trouble connecting.. Anyone else have that issue?

"VAG ME7.x ecus with old KWP2000" ... is a 2007 vag car equipped with this ecu ? I quess NOT.
That will be MED9.x.x So therefore you have to use a newer interface like MPPS, Galletto2, etc.

Post more than a year old, never the less.
Right now this awesome tool is reading the ECU of my Seat Ibiza Cupra 6k2 from 2001.

How did i perform this?:
1. Enter car
2. Plug in the kwp2000 + module
3. Put key in the ignition but dont turn it yet.
4. Put a clip on fuse 26 but dont pull it yet.
5. Now you turn on the ignition. Dont start the engine
6. Within 5 seconds oull fuse 26
7. Congrats now you are in bootmode
8. Start the awesome tool
9. Kick it.
10. Put speed on slow
11. Read
12. Enjoy
