318D EDC17CP02 / EDC17C06 EGR Switch

Postby Gould91 » Wed Sep 20, 2017 3:08 pm

I have a BMW 318D,

I have found the EGR Hys maps and can turn the EGR off.

Does anyone know if there is a proper switch and where it is? As I would like to be able to completely remove the EGR system to eliminate any open/short circuit faults in the future. I also think its a more professional approach.

I have attached the original file

Any help would be much appreciated

Was this done manually or with automated software?

I haven't had chance to try it on the car yet but to me it just looks like the wrong Hysterias maps have been modified and a load of DTC codes have been deleted.

I was just wondering if there was one switch to disable it completely much like the DPF switch?

Anyone?

Is there a proper switch in this ECU, rather than using Hysterias and DTC deletes?
