Lets say we have a fuel injected ecu controlled, gasoline engine.
When we cruise it gets all the time 14.7 AFR.
If we increase ignition timing (and we don't touch the fuel PT map) at part throttle, the mixture gets slightly leaner, so the O2 sensor tends to enrich the mixture so it gets back to 14.7.
The result, is a worst fuel economy.
Please correct me if i am wrong.
