Hi,
At the beginning please forgive me bad english ;)
I wanted some extra HP in my A4 Audi. I installed GT1749VA (AWX/AVF) turbocharger and Intake manifold with EGR and hoses from AWX also.
Because of intake plastic pipe from AWX I had to mount 051C MAP Sensor (3 bar).
Next step was to change software. I found person who made a lot of maps in cars of my colleagues. Not the cheapest, but with good opinion.
I've made logs on stock setup, the logs after changes and read stock ECU.
One day later I got soft for my ECU (I have MPPS and cable).
And here problem begins.
After putting new ECU Software, at 3000RPM my Intercooler explode. Plastic side was pushed out from core.
Tuner said that reason is IC was old and for sure had air leak before.
In my opinion reason was possible (besides, I'm newbie in software tuning), so I ordered new Valeo IC.
With new IC I drove to make dynamic logs at 3800RPM and 1,57bar Intake hoses exploded. To be precise, connection point with EGR. I fixed this also.
But on Saturday evening I went to city for pizza. I pushed pedal bit harder, but not full. First gear 3000RPM, second gear 3000RPM and boom. New IC exploded...
At monday I had rough talk with tuner. In short, my car is f..d up and software is good.
But it comes out that he forgot to change map sensor from 051 to 051C (2,5bar to 3 bar), because of this ECU was cheated with real pressure.
If you add 1,57 (which is maximum pressure that can be read by 051 sensor) and 0,18 bar of ECU cheat we have 1,75 bar.
I dont know what was real pressure, but it was too big.
Tuner claim that mistake with map sensor is irrelevant, because AWX turbo is not able to make pressure bigger than 1,6 bar.
I'm confused. I don't want to be forced to buy third new IC.
Driving on stock software (only with changed sensor) is worst than stock.
Congrats if you read it all, now I have question.
Is it tuner fault or my car?
I can paste OEM soft and this by tuner as well as logs.
Thanks
