Seeking advice on best Hardware/Software for Ford Focus Mk2 ST/RS Mk3 ST/RS and corresponding Fiesta range.
Having read hundreds of post across multiple forums what I have got is...
Hardware : KTAG - BDM/Read, Kess - Write?
Software: ECMTitanium, WinOLS for checksum, Cross reference Maps
Does that sound about right?
I've a good few projects lined up but I have always wanted to modify own files (only played about with a megasquirt system) but I have the knowledge on engine systems (Trained Motorsport tech). so if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be the best!
If not all major Ford tuning companies use OBD flash, but I am guess development of these maps was first retrieved via BDM first, Maps modified and then uploaded via OBD. Most use a basic handset which if I remember came from Volvo tuning guys because obviously the 2.5 is a Volvo engine using the ME9.
I have retrieved an Ori file from a Focus St225 to which i uploaded to OLS Demo to have a play, now im a little overwhelmed on the process of the map selection on this ecu as there are 101 "potential maps" and when i search manually sometimes the reference points don't make sense Aka 0004, 0245,0254, 0008, 0254, 00254, 0000
That the the sheer amount of maps already selected by Winols confused the hell out of me.
Any help would be absolutely wonderful!
