AFR calculations boost based

Postby nagliy_root » Sun Jun 09, 2013 3:58 pm

Hi, calculating right AFR in smoke limiter map based on MAF is not complex thing. It easy. But how calculate right AFR then smoke limiter is boost based (based on MAP)?

Multiple cylinder volume, air density and boost.

Easy :)
Engine for example 2.0l - 1 cylinder 500 cm3.
Air temperature 70C - air density 1.03 kg/m3 = 1.03 mg/cm3
Without boost max air mass in cylinder 515 mg (70C)
In reality you must add dependence from RPM (not full gas exchange in cylinder)
Boost 1.5 atmosphere mean air mass 1.5 time more then 1 atmosphere (1 atm coarse equal 1 kg/cm3).
515*1.5=772.5 mg
AFR=17
max IQ=772.5/17=45.4 mg (boost 1.5 kg/cm3)
