Alfa romeo 2.4 jtdm 200hp smoke map

Postby dzjekoff » Thu Sep 19, 2019 8:08 am

Hello guys anyone explain me how to calculate smoke map I change some maps dw, boost map, svbl.
I think no needed change more maps because engine is stock...
My smoke map
X - iq(mm3)
Y - RPM
z - maf

the problem is I don't know how to count with z axis
I found some topic on this forum and some guys said, so engine size 2387/5 = 474.4 now atmospheric pressure so for example
1300/474.4 = 2.74 now maximum boost so I change it for 2650 stock had 2500 so 2650/2.74 = 967.15 so now is 967 mg air per stroke so Iwould like to change for afr around 17.00, 967/17 = 56.88 mg fuel
I have problem because usually smoke map have in z axis IQ but in Alfa I have atmospheric pressure ...

No such thing as a perfect engine. 2 bar wont net you 2 times the amount of air, let alone throughout the entire rev range.

If thats an EDC16 ecu, its not atmospheric pressure in your axis either.

its not athmospheric pressure, its boost pressure or so called "Smoke by MAP" to calculate MAF from map use cylinder ccm * boost in bar * air density * engine efficiency
