My friend bought an old car with a Ford Pinto 2.0 conversion. It has the EFi engine. I dont know what the engine/ecu is from yet, but i think EFi pintos are all similar? The car is a project and does not run, and like any unfinished project the problem could be ANYTHING.

I dont know anything about this system at all. I dont usually mess with fords, and i think its a very old system.

I tried to look for information online but didnt find very much.

Does anybody know ANYTHING about these systems?

For example:

-diagnostics?
-immo?
-maps?

I have to start by understanding how diagnostics works so i can try to see if the ecu is even alive, and then
Go from there. I guess it will have like a k-line style system (1 data wire?) but what protocol does it use?
