Hi, my car has a k04 conversion but my ECU has knackered up and I am about to install a replacement ECU.

Will I be able to flash over a stock 265bhp map from ecubin.com for an Audi S3 directly onto the ECU and expect it to work?

you can't just load anther cars map onto an ecu where it does not belong, the cluster will give you a message saying "SAFE"

OK what about an Edition 30 GTI map, its the same car? Just comes from factory with k04 and bigger injectors so would be ideal if it worked.
