Boost vs railpressure

Postby Mach1000 » Thu Jul 28, 2016 9:41 pm

Hi guys,

I am pretty new to oem ecus, so I have a question you hopefully can help me understand.

I am at the moment buying my tuningfiles from a source on the internet which has a pretty good reputation, well thats at least the information I can find.

I have non clone masters and use the bought file to educate my self in the oem world.

I recently had a Toyota d-4d and I bought the BitEdit software as well to get a clearer picture of whats was going on.

The tuned file i got back had an expected increase in boost, and an increased rail pressure.

The thing I dont understand is how to know the amount of raise in railpressure vs the raise in boost to maintain same afr or at least close to that.

There is as far I can see no other changes in IQ so it must be the amount of fuel only by raising the pressure.

I would believe that I need to know the injector flow at X bar before I would be able to calculate the needed railpressure to suit boost, or am I wrong?

thank you
