Hi. I have 2007 citroën c2 vts. It has a bosch me7.4.5 ecu with drive by wire throttle. I know it can be "chipped", but I'm not looking for extra power or pops and bangs. I don't want to remove the catalytic converter. I might want to try fitting a larger throttle body in the future, something that is not possible on a standard c2.
The issue I have is with the rev hang. I know it's there to help with emissions and gear changes when driving at a normal pace, but it makes quick gear changes impossible when engine revs are high - the engine revs rise dramatically when the clutch is stabbed even when my foot is definitely off the throttle.
Can rev hang be turned off, or at least turned down? I have contacted several ecu tuning companies here in the UK and no one seems to have an answer. I don't have the ability to tune my ecu myself at the moment, but if someone could point me in the right direction I could give the information to the person I get to modify my ecu.
