ECU help needed

Postby 49ford » Tue Mar 17, 2020 4:25 pm

Hi guys I need help I have recently finished my project it's a 1949 ford f2 truck I have installed a 06 Mercedes e320cdi (om642) engine with the Mercedes ecu harness key ignition steering lock etc I have the truck up and running it starts and drives I have chased a few fault codes and all runs fine
When I start it I can rev it to maximum rpm over and over but when I drive it allows me to hit full throttle once but then goes in to limp mode and will not rev past 3000rpm i only have to turn the key of start again and max revs are there wile not driving but it reacurs when driving
I have not installed the auto gear box or abs system I run a 6 speed manual transmission when i read codes it says lost contact with tcm so i believe the ecu is looking for a signal from the gearbox and going in to limp mode so I need a ecu wizard to help me as I'm lost would a ecu from a manual (sprinter) fix the problem? Any help would be awsome guys
Thanks lee
