Ecu not working after a wrong EGR off

After my friend do a physical EGR off, the car (E46 320D 2004, ecu edc16C31) will not start again.
Help!

i know some vw edc15 had boot mode, or you could remove chip,
dont know about bmws

Read DTC and post what error have you find.

The EGR of the M47N Engine is vacuum controlled. I don't know how you did the EGR delete but I think you should put a one way valve on the hose or smth. Otherwise the ECU sees the EGR blocked and maybe that's why it doesn't work anymore.

BMW can actualy crash even if you replace batery only...
You probably did one of those three things:

1. your binary was partialy read and flasher did not read VIN...
or
2. your CAS is crashed.
3. wrong calculated checksum
