I apologize for posting some threads dealing more or less the same subject, but I studied a little bit and it seems I have clearer knowledge now.
I would like to map my BMW F25, but I want to be on the safe side so I want to buy a used ECU and clone my original ECU.
It appears to me that cloning is possible with latest hardware and software that is able to read/write the OTP sector as well. After cloning, some guys have experienced error codes in some ECUs but it seems not being a major issue. So here comes my questions. What hardware to buy to clone the EDC?
Does anyone have guideline how to proceed?
