EDC15 Map switch

Postby Cotulla » Tue Apr 04, 2017 2:19 pm

I've seen a video where the driver can switch maps with the cruise control stock, then it shows the selected map with the rpm meter and if you press again it switches to the next one and indicates it on the rpm meter. A few seconds later the rpm meter goes back to the real rpm. This only works when the clutch and cruise control buttonis pressed. (cruise control doesn't work anyway when clutch is pressed)

Anyone know how to do this?

Ok, but how does it work, I think it's not just another map, but rather adding some code to the file?

My car only has one codeblock, can I add more and than use map switching feature?

But why use the Acc pedal, wouldn't the engine rev up while changing maps?

no it doesn't rev up, the reason acc pedal is used is that you are able to switch maps while driving

Custom Coding. this is some of the things that can be done as well.

• 2 or 3 Map Switch Option
• Maps can be changed when car is Idling or while Driving for when that extra power is needed.
• Maps can be switched in various ways :
Clutch & Cruise control. Acc Pedal & brake Pedal. Acc pedal and Cruise Control
• Anti-theft Map. When the Car is in this map the vehicle won’t start. Perfect for safety
OTHER GADGETS:
• RPM gauge can be used as boost gauge.
• Launch Control can be adjusted with Brake & Acc Pedal.
• Launch Control Can be switched off via Pedals As well.
• The Ecu file gets encrypted with your VIN number so it can’t be copied to another file.

As I understand, to do this we need some extra programming tool, and desolder some chip, to change firmware. Am I right?
Skill of programming micro controllers are welcome too? It's not simple way, but extra feature.
Best Regards
Michał

I would need 3 way map switch via cluth and cruise control, I guess a anti theft map just doesn't inject fuel? Can you do this or can you send me a file for the EDC15 with that functionaltity ? My stock file only has one codeblock but I guess adding 2 isn't a problem?

anyway you want it i can make it work, adding codeblocks isn't a problem, this is for vag right? if it's not vag i would need an original file to see if it can be done.
