EDC16C39 egr switch and hysteresis egr off

Postby 5h1ll » Sun Sep 15, 2019 11:26 pm

Can anyone confirm or deny the location of egr switch in this file?
I have location 1C42C3
If this is not the switch, how can I find dtc in this file, as I have found dtc error code block at 1C6DEE (could be slightly different) but the error path block is very hard to determine the start. Anyone have any clues or know which location this starts in the file? I figure somewhere around 1C7750
Egr hyst 1C4CFE & 1C4D6E?

I post the ori here

Switch method is not that good, better to use hysteresis.
By using hysteresis you at least can see with diagnostics that egr is not used, while if you use switch method you cant tell is egr used or not because cable is disconnected. So better go for hysteresis :)

Here you can try my modification hysteresis was used, so keep egr cable plugged in.

I understand that egr hysteresis will keep the valve closed, however if the egr is closed through hysteresis, this doesn't help me with complete removal of the egr valve from the car. I want the egr valve deleted from the car all together so that different manifold can be used. With switch, I can just tell the ecu that no egr should be present, the simplest solution
