Hi,

I have a Laguna 1.9 DCI with EDC15C13 (0281011969)
Can i remove the EGR the same way as EDC15C3 as described in this post ?

Thanks

The way is the same for all EDC15 but switch place in switchs line depend from fw.

How do I know if the place is the same ? is there a version I can read somewhere ?
if I find the "048", is there a risk (yes i guess) if I try to change the switch and it's not the good one ?

No risc if you not start engine but only switch on ignition and look in diagnostic program to egr control percentage. If you find switch properly it will 0%. If not - return you modified switch back and tray other. Usually in Renault EDC15 egr switch in 2-4 place from left in switch line ended by 048. You can prepare few .bin files with modified different switch places, write one, test egr control prcentage, if not sucsess - write next file etc. before find properly.

ok great.
I'll check this, but for now i'm waiting for my MPPS V16 to be delivered ...
I will post feedback once tested.
Thanks

Hi Guys,

I tried, and i'm not sure it works correctly.
I changed the 2nd switch to 000 and now in CAN-CLIP I have a EGR read position always at 0, BUT when I check the EGR valve it is open physically. If I unplug the cable I get an injection error.
Does it mean it's not the good switch ?
I have the same configuration as in post #4 and switch #4 is already at 000

Thanks

I tried with all switches. only the 2nd switch has an effect on the EGR (the others I have EGR position at 5% with ignition)
With switch 2, I have EGR position at 0% but the valve is full open.

Any idea ?

I put back my original configuration ... :(

You not right understand EGR disabling. Use only switch is bad idea. Right way is to set plate somewhere in EGR pipe and cut exchaust gas from EGR valve and than disable EGR switch for prevent usage EGR in ecu calculations.

My EGR is already disabled mecanically. but I thought I can remove it by disabling in ECU.
in a DCI, you can't put a plate, the EGR is integrated in the intake manifold. So I already have a disconnected valve inside the motor (to keep the pipe closed), and a connected valve outside the motor to avoid fault in the ECU (in this valve I see the problem)

So the EGR switch disables only the feedback from the valve, but it still tries to open.

Thanks for the info, I will try to run with this configuration (switch 2 off).

To set the EGR map to 0 isn't a better solution ? so I can keep only 1 valve ...

thanks again :)

Marty
