Galletto 1260 Siemens EMS2K

Postby Wod » Sun Feb 14, 2016 7:52 pm

Hello there, i have managed to work galletto in windows 7 64bit after a little tinkering. It did take about 10 minutes to read however.

When reading the file, the only instructions were to "Turn ignition off and wait 10 seconds"
Should there be a "Turn ignition on" prompt? Or is that only when writing the file back in?

Despite no further instructions, i waited over 10 seconds, switched on the ignition, waited 10 seconds, Close program, Turn off ingition, Disconnect obd.
File size is 512KB, Car is Mini Cooper EMS2k 163ps. Is this the correct file size? It reached 100% and program did not freeze at all but still have my doubts.
Thanks
Wod

Hi mate, 512Kb is the right size.
Must wait 10 sec , and after turn ignition off, that's the clue.
Reading time with Galletto 1260 or FGTECH is around 8-10 minutes.
MPPS read EMS2K in 2,5 minutes but read only maps area, and write in 1,5minutes.

Thanks for the reply mate :), thats what i did. I waited 10 seconds before turning the ignition off, i turn it off and click ok after not before. All seems ok,
If you wouldnt mind checking these files for me please? Youv been a big help. Thank you!

And i thought galletto reads maps only?,
I thought MPPS reads both flash and eprom thats why it has a recovery mode?
And galletto does not?

Not sure wether i trust using the galletto to write the file back or should i use MPPS incase of problems? As mpps has slow write mode?
