Galletto 2 V54 - anything better than this?

Hey,

I am planning on ordering a Galleto 2 V54 - specifically this ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261985393454? ... EBIDX%3AIT ).

1) Before I tuned T7 with an USB BDM tool specifically made for a SAAB. Am I right in saying that with these Galleto tools, you can read any BDM, including SAABs? So with this tool is my USB BDM tool redundant at this point?

If - really - I can do everything with an universal tool, I wonder why the SAAB community never talked about these?

2) To start off, I would like to connect to Honda's I-CDTI, VAGs 110 TDi. Is this a good tool for that? What cars will I not be able to connect?
I would also ask for the best software, but I will do my best to search for that in the software forums.

Yes, this Galletto can connect and read via BDM, but you need BDM frame and adapters. They are not included in this offer. Also about VAG 110 tdi- galletto connects succesfully with them, but only read/write after 1999 year. Before this year if you need to read or write you need to desolder chips read it via programator, remap the file and write it down to new flash eeprom.After that solder again and hit the road.

personally i also like galletto, its simple and cheap... but you need to know what you can do with it... i use eu clone and actually works everything that producer promise... china clones have diffrent story... but for simple ecu like edc15,16 and bdm you cant get better... (acutally works even pcr 2.1 unlock, renesas jtag/boot, c157 boot, and maybe even more but never tested)...
