Gidday from Downunder

I'm in Australia. Me and my mates do all our own work on our MB Diesel vehicles. 2000 - 2010 CDI2 and lately CDI4. I have deleted things like EGR using external piggyback style mods on CDI2. But I am now being faced with ECU flash tuning as the only viable way to delete the terrible emissions gear on our later CDI4 vehicles. I have developer Star Diag and use it a lot, but not the developer mode I don't know German, let alone technical German lol.

I'm an embedded software engineer by trade, and I have written ECU software so I know about maps and lookups etc but from the other side of the fence, not the reverse-engineering style required here. I have installed and played around with WinOLS now, and am comfortable with the processes involved. Now I just need an interface to be able to read/write maps from the ECU preferably via OBD2.

So whats a good flash tool/cable I should use to read and write maps? I don't plan on doing it very often so cheaper is best.
