Hi all!
I have a Golf V BKD. Car tuned previously. Poor tune, percentage tuning, cheated duration maps etc.
I read the file OBD via KESS V2, as usual.
I got an original ecu dump so first converted the maps in the downloaded file back to original then tuned for my taste.
I tried to write back on the car but before it would start to write, i got "Checksum error Writing buffer" error. Hmm.
After many tries, reboot pc etc. tried to flash the previously downloaded file from car. This way i get instant RSA error.
Checked the files, compared to the bone stock original dump the difference is only in the checksum block.
WinOLS codeblock 7 plenty of zero values in my file. The original VW file has real values as usual.
Can somebody explain what is the problem?
I read that some early bkd ecus have faulty chipset, but i think the problem is because the poorly tuned software i downloaded from car is a damaged bad file.
I dont want to brick my ECU, any helpful advice appriciated.
