Hello from England!

Hi all,

My name is Mark, and I am from York in the United Kingdom.

I have stumbled upon this place whilst on a quest to be able to properly datalog the goings-on inside my Vauxhall/Opel Me1.5.5 ECU.

I have an Innovate LM-2 that can connect via OBD port, and upto now have been using this to gather information and tune based upon it. However, I am certain that I am missing some very important information from within the ECU. It is also very slow at updating, so data needs to be smoothed out by around 1 full second to look anything like right.

I have managed to connect to the ECU via K-line and KWP2000 using Tony from Nefmoto's ME7Logger, and have managed to find what seems to be RPM, at 0x00F752, with a multiplier of 40 and offset of 0.

I quickly realised that this is going to be very very difficult to figure out what address is what, the conversions etc, and was wondering if anybody either knew the relevant addresses or could point me in the direction of some information or tips and tricks for figuring the values out myself?

Currently I am planning on creating a variable at each address, working up numerically, and simply watching the values as conditions change, in an effort to figure out what is what. It does sound somewhat hopeless though when you consider the quantity of calculations these ECU's perform!

A massive thank you will be awarded to anybody that can help me to figure this out!
