here for knowledge

Postby d14u » Sat Aug 25, 2018 1:01 pm

Hi all.

I just recently "adopted" an older car with turbo diesel engine and are looking for some knowledge how to give it some more power to better cope with modern traffic.

My other interests include vintage cars, I own a VW Beetle as well as a Citroen 2CV6 that are both around 40 years old.

But these are modern times and modern cars rely on software and since I am generally tech and computer handy I said to myself - why not try and figure out ECU tuning? Right?

Best regards to all.

M

Welcome aboard!

As a computer nerd and professional software developer I can appreciate where you are coming from - sadly much of the ECU editing involves hex editing of binary files rather than getting at the juicy source code but hey it works :)
