How to get bins from an ECU??

Postby Killavolt » Thu Dec 10, 2020 9:11 pm

Hello everyone, I wanted to dig into my trucks ECU and learn what I can or can't do with it, I have a bench unit to play with.

I can't seem to find any bins for my truck, so my question is, What software is needed to extract the bin file from my ECU, or is there anywhere this information actually exists? I'm having a hard time finding out what would be needed to do this.

Any help or guidance is appreciated. I simply want to play around with my own truck.

it's better and cheaper to go to the local tuner for this job if you don't know the bascis.
tools are not cheap, softwares for tuning are not cheap and yout time is money i guess.

I would really appreciate if someone could just help me find the information I'm looking for since there are no local tuners anywhere even remotely close to me, and even if there were I don't want someone throwing their special blend of tune that I can't change or modify in any way.

I didn't buy an HPT to let everyone else do weird things to my ECU.
