Re: How to remove immobiliser vw edc15

Greetings,

I have a 2000 VW Jetta TDI. I have Vag Commander 2.5 with the Blue KKl cable (has ftdi chip), and I am able to read the instrument cluster and the ECU, but the IMMO button does not turn the immobilizer off. I see the instructions to read eeprom 24c04 in this thread, but how do I do that with Vag commander?

I'm trying to get this car running, so I'm open to any way I can make this happen. I have a full version of vagcom 409.1, and I am able to program a new key using the SKC I was able to read with Vag commander, and it does turn the IMMO light off on the dash, but it still cuts voltage to the injector pump after about 6 seconds of turning the key on, and thus the car won't start.

I either need to get the key programming to work, or turn the IMMO off for good. Whatever works. Any help would be most appreciated.

I think for 24c04 the adresses are: 0x1B0 and 0x1DE !!!

all vw's with the exception of ones fitted with electronic steering lock merely need immo off in ecu w/o keys adapted (light will flash until keys are matched).
