Hw & Sw for an Ecu file

Hi,
I have a little confusion about Hw and Sw no.,
If I had an original file for car model, can't I put this original flash to another car ecu with the same every thing (model/engine/transmission /....) ?

cant be answered because not every ecu, car same...
