I know it is basic but not for me.

Hi.
I have a basic question.
I have

ecu details with:
Num. HW: 0281010111
Num. SW: 1037352565

and i would like to flash a file on it but the remap file has different HW number. even if both is a golf4 1.9 tdi it is still wrong for my car?
the http://www.boschecus.com/ site show the same car for both HW numbers.

Tihs one i would like to flash on my car.
Num. HW: 0281010111
Num. SW: 1037352565

Unless its me both of those numbers look the same to me but it is early on a Sunday morning so I could be wrong.

Generally it's a bad idea to flash a file with different HW SW numbers so I would not recommend it, you can lock out the ECU etc.

Hi,
you always have to modify your original file and than flash your car with modified file made out of your original.
Never flash your car with non original hw, sw file numbers.

Numbers you posted look the same for me too ;) ,
did you make copy/paste mistake...

Do not flash your car with different SW and HW.
Use your original, change it and than flash your car with your modified file "made out" of your original.
