Hello,
It is highly likely that the post is not properly posted, but I count on the Moderator attention to re-direct this to its proper location, if needed - assuring him about all my consideration and my good intentions.
I would like to know your expert opinions about the level allowed corrections of injectors debit.
As in PSA Group (as I know) up to +/-6mg/cycle is considered... usable, the following questions arises:
- How much it's related the construction of the engine itself to the maximum correction factor allowed ? I mean, If a given particular engine of Opel, let's say, controlled by an EDC16 has a particular maximum allowed correction factor, the maximum allowed correction factor would be the same in a Peugeot EDC16 controlled engine ? (My guess would be NO, but note that I have no tuning experience).
- Is there, regularly speaking, a difference in this maximum allowed correction factor, between different injection system vendors ? (I mean, on the same engine equipped with different injection systems (BOSCH and DELPHI, for example), would there be different maximum allowed correction factors (for example +/-5, +/-6mg/cycle respectively)? (Here I have in mind the DW10BTED4 PSA engine, which is implemented with different system controls, for example)
Thank you for your attention and hopefully this post will start a series of discussions helpful for many (less experienced) users around here...
Regards,
Laur.
