A friend of mine has a golf 4 1.6 petrol from 1998, in the kess v2 car list its saying that we can read the car ect...
But the problem is when i check on the list on my program its saying that the car has a bosh ecu, but if we look at the ecu of the car that is a siemens ecu. So when i try reading the car its saying unknown ecu and if i then proceed i get a wake up error.
The weard this is that the engine codes are the same(AKL ENGINE CODE). Kess v2 shows 2 ecu types a bosh and a siemens but the 1 with the siemens ecu has a diferent engine code then my friend car has?
is there a way to solve this?

I thought that the Kess system just had to get the correct 'family' to read/write to the ecu, so it is not so important if an other details are correct or not. Have you tried selecting the siemens and seeing if you can read from it?
