Kess-v2 won't read astra gsi

Hi everyone iv been using kess-v2 for a while now an not had any problems but when I try to read my mates 2003 z20let it gives an ecu read error the car is already mapped if that makes a difference thanks in advance

there is your problem, and also there is no clone talk allowed

Today he has been to a local remappers and they are having the same problem an he said he has had no problems with gsi's before it did the same as mine got the Id and failed as it was initiating to read is it possible the previous remappers put some sort of read or write protection on the ecu thanks

why don't they remove the ecu and read it in boot mode

Not sure mate I didn't go with him somthing isn't right to I have tried to plug an obd dtc reader an it just hangs an doesn't retrieve any info at all I suspect there may be a fault in the loom
