I know because I read a lot of your posts :geek: :D
I tried raising IQ in Cranking map. First with 20%, then with 40%. With 40% it feels just slightly quicker sometimes.. maybe it's psychological.. I increased IQ only for 600rpm and 700rpm and for 10, 20 and 80°C coolant temp.......
It's not my fault you're full of knowledge    :D I wouldn't know what to check.. Battery is not old and is a Bosch with higher specs than stock one. Starter motor doesn't seem to struggle at all.
When I exceed maximum rail pressure and engine stops, it doesn't start for 1 minute no matter what. And the first time that happend, I tried for 1 minute to start the engine  Starter motor was very good at spinning the engine for very long time at the same speed like it could do it forever without getting tired.
What else should I check? Like I said, it's not a remapping issue but I tought I can fix with with the remap.
When you exceed rail pressure and your engine stops, you take out your ignition key wait for 10seconds put the key back and start your engine. Or, delete all fault codes and start your engine. Or wait :D and start your engine.
About cranking there can be a lot of things it is hard to suggest like this if I do not look at the car and complete diagnostics.
I did not see if you posted injector correction factors somewhere...
Cranking and starting is never going to be instant on the HDi when comparing to an older engine as the ECU has to obtain crank \ cam synchronisation before it can start and this can sometimes take a couple of revolutions!
I remember some of the older mechanical injected engines could sometimes start with a nice quick half revolution crank.... :D
