MPPS V13.02 difference between various variants?

I'm considering wich tool is good purchase for flashing dde3.0 (edc15) in bmw 320d?

I have compared the cheap ones: Galletto 1260, MPPS V13.02 and KWP2000+.

Can anybody tell me whats the function of the aluminium box within some cable sets? Is thew non-boxed cable worse than boxed or are they equal in reliability?

I have the same question. Just bought the mpps v13 cable! Does it do the same job as the boxed one?
