What is the difference between MPPS V3.0 and. MPPS v16. What is better for a beginner?

Hi mate. I'm not an expert but I've been looking for some information about both of them. The mayor difference is that v3 can work bdm and v16 can't. V16 is only for obd2. I purchased V16 and works great. I haven't started with bdm but I also have the fgtech v54 for this purposes. People say it's a good tool.
