Hi everyone,
My name is Sébastien, i'm 38 years old and coming from France. I'm electrician in real life...
I own a 2011 VW Golf MK6 GTD with CFGB motor and actually has ~150000km. Car is tuned since 2012 with stage 1.
I do all maintenance by myself:
- Oil and filter every 8/10K.
- Air filter every 30000Km
- Timaing belt done last year.
- Intake valves and manifold cleaned at 130000Km (lot of gunk and crap there. Thank you EGR? :? ).
- DPF is healthy. (Can't remember about VCDS reading, but IIRC, it's only ~50% clogged. Not bad for 150000Km :D ).
TO DO:
- Turbo's VNT cleaning planned < Soon...
- Clutch replacement is on the way!
Anyway, the motor is in pretty good shape. Always do proper warm up and turbo always cooled down before car is turned off!
ECU modifications require quite a lot of knowledge and practice. Being a father of two girls and working all week, i always gave up before even trying... Well, i finally decided to invest some time and give it another try! More seriously this time!
Not sure about my car's tune, but i guess it is not that good. Car is a bit better on mid low RPM. But i feel like it lost some high RPM power. No sure how to interpret it yet. Announed power was: + 40HP and + 70NM = 210HP and 420NM.
My goal is to modify the stock software to achieve a proper 210HP and 420NM... DPF being quite restrictive, i think 210HP is the sweet spot. Gearbox and clutch can handle 420NM without problem.
Thank you everyone for reading my post. If you have any question, just ask...
