Need some help with EDC15p+ Codeblocks understanding..

Postby pveeningen » Sun Sep 13, 2015 5:24 pm

Hello dear members,

I have a question about the ecu data of my Lupo 3L

My Lupo 3L is rebuild with manual shiting. (All the 3L Lupo's are normally Automatic)

And i have read the data from the ecu, and compare it to other lupo 3l bin's.

When i open my binary i have 3 different Codeblocks, below is as an example of EDC15SUITE for a map.

Name Address
Fuel volume correction map [codeblock 2, manual] 05517E
Fuel volume correction map [codeblock 3, 4x4] 06517E
Fuel volume correction map [codeblock 5] 07517E

Codeblock 5 is now active in my car and is working with the manual gearbox.

But my car is not driving good, so i wanted to completely transfer different maps into my existing binary.
(because this file can drive with the manual conversion)

Start Address 0004C000 / End Address 0005BFFF is for Codeblock 2
Start Address 0005C000 / End Address 0006BFFF is for Codeblock 3
Start Address 0006C000 / End Address 0007BFFF is for Codeblock 5

But as far that i tried, you can not copy a complete MAP (with X and Y axis!) From another map..

So my first question: Does anyone know how to copy a complete map from another binary...?

And the second question: Is the manual shifting data somewhere between the Start and the End address of the Codeblock??
Or in another way, are only the map data in this Start and End addresses of a codeblock?

Because i could copy the hole data from a binary with an Hex Editor, from the Start till the End Address.
But i don't know if i lose the manual shifting part then?

I hope someone can help me with my questions ;)

I read allready very much about it, but it's a little bit uncommon because the engine won't start without the conversion in the software for manual gearbox.

Thanks allready!

it's normal, if your car uses the manual gearbox you have to use a code 2

can't you just change the active codeblock with vagcom?
