Hi All,

My name is Dave and I am based in Laxey in the isle of man, I am an electronics and electrical engineer by trade and a member of the IET. Over the years I have enjoyed many motoring projects and find the art of mapping an area which I would like to learn extensively from the basics upwards. I am not joining to make profits but soley on the basis of learning from anyone willing to share their knowledge with me. I would like to think I am a quick learner and I am familiar with binary and hex. good with computers and hardware, drivers etc but lack the methods used in this new field to begin.

I have invested in cheap devices and software as a platform to read and understand the parameters and how adjustments are made. The kit is as follows:

kwp2000+ Clone
MPPS clone
EDS IPF
Galetto
Alientech power slave box
the eds ipf and alientech devices are the remains of what I have been using to flash my cars however these were only used for flashing tuning company files.

I am grateful for any software or file recommendations that would help me begin my studies into this field

I have bought a cheap project car to begin tuning, a seat ibiza cupra turbo 6kf 20v 2001 and would apreciate all the input and help I can get in becoming competent enough to produce and map my own files.
