I am new to the forum, my names Craig.

I’ve been a petrol head since being a kid, scramblers before I got my driving license and then a list of cars and motorbikes since then. I now get my kicks from sportsbike riding but always have had a soft spot for powerful cars – but cant justify the expense compared to my YZF-R6 (0-60mph in 3s and redlines at 16,500rpm for £4000!). I went to the IOMTT 2015 and it was hands down the best motorsport event I’ve ever been to.

I drive a Transporter T5 SWB (85bhp originally) which has been remapped by Quantum, it’s a bit of a dodgy map cuz I can feel performance changing very suddenly, sometimes it even vibrates/judders under high load and low rpm up a hill for example. One of my best mates from home is now competing in the british drift champs in a 600bhp soarer, so I keep in touch with his engine mods and problems with mapping such big turbos.

The reason I’ve joined the forum is to learn about how to find maps within the winOLS program. I would like to be able to flash any ECU and then find all of the maps within the data file so that I can edit it. Primarily to sort out my T5 map first, then secondly to map all my mates and cousins cars! I am trying to find out all info to do with addresses so I can find these maps. I;ve watched some videos on youtube but am struggling to find the fuel maps once im looking at the 2D trace or tabulated info.

I work at Rolls-Royce in Bristol as a Design engineer on gas turbine engines that go into battle ships. I studied mechanical engineering and am chartered, so basically I’m a hyper-nerd. I understand combustion, engine design and especially diesel injection fuel systems as I worked for a company (Delphi) who design and manufacture the equipment – again as a designer (and development).

I can help everyone with principles of how the engine works so that they can make the right adjustments to their maps through better understanding of what they are changing. So feel free to ask me a question or two.
