no reply from ECU (EDC15 using MPPS)

Postby CupraTDI » Wed Mar 25, 2020 1:48 pm

Hello, I've got a problem with my 2000 skoda octavia 1.9 TDI 110PS (EDC15), I flashed the ECU (using MPPS V18) 3 times without any problem. But for the fourth time I did "ECU ID" without problem, but when i try to "WRITE" there a new map, it said "NO REPLY FROM ECU". I've tried to repeat it several times but didn't help. Can you please help me, what should I do? Thank you very much!

I experienced the same problem when in the middle of flashing using MPPS 13 the VM XP crashed and I lost the connection to the ECU.
I suppose you are using clone MPPS and I read sometimes it happens with clones that after a few times it crashes.
I do not know it it is true or not....but....

Well, I didn't find any solution, so I bought a new ECU.

I had same problem like you but i ve dont buy another ecu , you can solve this "wake up erorr" in 2 ways , first the safer one , you need ktag ( kess it s good to ) pinout on bench and write the file , second not so ok... open the ecu pluged on car sold a wire to boot pin and put it on car(metal surface ) this wire on metal step it s just for 2 3 seconds when the mpps tries to id the ecu . For more detais send me a p.m .
