Greetings everyone,

I'm new to ECUs programming and would like to learn a bit before buying anything and/or testing out maps on my BMW E46 136HPs (03.2001). First of all I've been reading A LOT of things around the web, most of which are from here ;) After successfully installing WinOLS 2.24, I've started downloading some original and mapped files I found around the topics in this forums and I was able to read them just fine (even though I still have to learn what all those values mean...). Now, one problem has arisen: what kind of hardware do I need to read the Eeprom from my car? I've been reading KWP2000 would be fine, but is it compatible with WinOls? Any kind of advice is much appreciated :)
