Hello everyone,
My interest in cars was unavoidable through growing up among workshops servicing and restoring cars of all ages.
Ever since 'tuning' moved into the digital era I've been intending to learn and hopefully practice this 'black art'. I'm still hoping but have more reason than ever now having a motorcycle as well as 2 cars with ECUs instead of jets and bob weights.
The bike is an Aprilia Futura which it appears the factory made an absolutely appalling job of calibrating... more than once.
Then there are two Alfas, one petrol NA, one 2.4TD. I think both are capable of better economy, especially the 2-litre TS and the diesel has an awful flatspot. I guess the latter is most likely a hardware issue but would like to cover the possibility that it has already had some digital intervention.
Other interests? Wife and I are serial house renovators, we have dogs and poultry and very little spare time!!!
All the best.
