P0601Check sum error

Postby jono-9 » Wed Aug 23, 2017 2:20 pm

hi guys, my stepdaughters mk 6 golf 1.6 tdi (2012) has been off road for months, when i checked it, i found injectors were seized, i put a second hand set in it, and it eventually started, but was not firing on number two cylinder, which had a low compression, i found connecting rod was bent on number two, i replaced it, and piston rings, and checked valves, and compression, (over 320 psi on all cylinders) timing was done with pins and crank tool, it now fires when trying to start, but will not run, i have put ross tech on and have got code P0601,(memory check sum error, intermittent) can anyone comment on this, with a possible cure, thanks in advance, John.

The checksum is for the layout of the file
For each file it must be calculated
Is there anything done on the software

It seems to be a dead flash.

Send your Ecu to repair
