Peugeot 307 2.0 HDi 66 kW EDC15C2

Postby zok » Sat Aug 24, 2013 11:50 am

Here is a little mod I just made for my friend's ride. Didn't test it yet, as I'm at work right now...

I raised the torque limiters by 20% and injection quantity limiter by fuel temperature. The torque and power output should still be slightly below the output of the 2.0 HDi 110 HP engine.

No rail pressure, turbo boost or injector calibration maps have been altered.

Turbo boost is mechanically controlled, and the car has 320k km plus and is used as a daily drive, so I didn't want to put excess stress on critical parts (turbocharger, injectors, HP fuel pump etc).

Forgot to put the EGR switch to 0 (located at 7111F) - something to take care of before flashing. :)

The map pack contains just a few of the most important maps, and might not be very accurate, and all the factors are not edited, as i don't think this is really necessary..

Any comment? Anything to be modified?

Im not an expert so please take this with a pinch of salt.

I think your changes are 'safe' but would need to drive with PP2000 to make sure you are getting the IQ values your requesting. It might be that you don't have enough boost as standard but before increasing the boost pressure suggest you test, make sure you meet IQ request and don't have too much smoke.

Also there are a lot of gains on this engine, especially when it is old, by advancing the timing and increasing the rail pressure slightly. Not sure to what values yet. It is something I am working on but need input from people with more experience/equipment.

Hope you get more feedback from people who know more than me

Hi,

I was thinking of that too, but I can't test it before the car arrives back home (went on vacation two days ago).. I don't want to shorten the life of the fuel system (although I still have some replacement parts in stock), so I was thinking of raising the fuel pressure in mid-range only (the car runs in high revs very rarely anyway), and I won't even have to look for and raise the SVRPL.

As mentioned, the turbocharger is controlled mechanically, so I will have to readjust the wastegate spring tension. The turbo is a little hard to reach. I will do it only if necessary, and for the minimum requested amount...

ah didn't see that it is mechanical... personally I would not touch it then.

If you don't meet IQs maybe adjust the smoke map to run a tad richer providing it doesnt smoke :)
