Peugeot 406 HDI 90 Siemens SID801

Hi,

I'm looking for info on the siemens SID801, after a lot of reading I can't figure out this ecu!

I have found some info on the SID803 which helped a little bit, I think! I don't have the map addresses that I've found at hand, they're on my work laptop, I'll fire it up later and copy down the addresses to post.

Does this ecu work in the same way as an EDC15? I can't seem to find the same type of maps, either that or the factors I'm using are way off!

I'm fairly sure I have the rail pressure map and limiter, but I haven't tried them yet, I'm also fairly sure I have the SOI map but haven't tried the factor/offset yet.

I did find a supposed sid801 a2l but haven't found a matching file that it will work with so has been no use, is there any way to find out which hw/sw the file is supposed to be used with?

Thanks,
Rob

I'm pretty sure this Siemens 801 ECU is actually more adavanced than the EDC15C2 - The pump has a quantity adjuster on it, so only the required fuel is pumped (Unlike EDC15 with CP1 pump where everything going through the pump is pressurised). I'm also not sure, but these *might* use piezo injectors instead of the Bosch solenoid type injectors.

EDC16 had a quantity adjustment on the pump (CP3 pump), but I'm pretty certain that map structures between SID801 and EDC16 will be totally different :-(

Not much help, but I dont think these are as simple as EDC15 to tune. If you do find out about SID801, it would be good to share, I would like to see how the SID801 and EDC15C2 differs on the 90bhp HDi!

Pressure varies between 220 and 1500bar (300 and 1350bar for EDC15C2)
Uses Piezoelectric injectors (Solenoid on EDC15)
Uses more advanced high pressure pump
No in tank lift pump

In summary, I think the 801 could be classed as a 2nd Generation common rail system (Bosch EDC15C2 being 1st generation) - It has more in common function wise with EDC16 than EDC15!
