You can only write this ECU. To read the bin you must desolder the flash chip.

Yes loads but you are trying to run before you can walk.

This ECU you must short 13 to 16 on the OBD port. Then get a software ID and hardware ID. Then we can help you.

The best thing to do in this cases is open ECU, dissolder the flash memory (in this case a 29F400BB), read the entire memory using a Willen Eprom Reader or any other, ressolder the memory inside the ECU and reassembly. Then you are ready to start to work with some security margin.

After work on your maps using your favorite hex editor, if you still having trouble writing, you can use a needle to apply 12V directly to pin 43 of your ECU, then your MPPS will able to write. Never forget to check the checksums of the file you will write. MPPS do it reasonably well.

If you still not feel confident enough to make this procedures, post all ECU numbers and I try to send you one copy of you original BIN file.

I know this is an old thread but I need a dump for one of these PCMs. Photo attached. MPPS is on its way. I have never done SMT soldering and don't want to start on my PCM. Can anyone out there help me out? 1997 A8Q non-ESP, this PCM is from a 1998 but it seems to run my car
You do not have permissions to view the files yet. You have to be registered and you have to make at least 3 quality / unique posts.

Hi all,
I know this is an old post but I am in the process of trying to find an original ECU file for a 2003 Golf 2.0 8v with a Bosch M5.9.2

Can anyone help please?
