Logging Audi/VW 1.8T AEB Bosch 5.9.2

Postby kraftwerkturbo » Sun Jun 09, 2013 2:31 pm

I am struggling to get usable data for tuning purposes out of my 1.8T AEB (with the older Bosch 5.9.2 ECU).

It is slow, and there is now way around that limitation (as far as I know).

But at the very least, I would like to log the available ECU data TOGETHER with wideband AFR.

I have VAGcom and Innovate LM-2 (and a bunch of other interfaces/software).

The LM-2 can log OBD data, but I can't to find and select parameters (only very few, nothing really regarding timing, fueling, knock). Has anyone used the LM-2 on the AEB?

One option might be to use the VAGcom to log via OBD2, and use an analog RPM input for the LM-2 and log wideband O2, and later 'synchronize' the data. Any tips where to get an analog RPM signal for the LM-2 from? What location/wire/connection to tap into?

Any other suggestions how to log with the AEB?
