How to read a Citroen C5 HDI 2001

Postby BrianSPC » Mon Sep 24, 2012 1:13 pm

I have bought at Galletto 1260 to read and write my ECU. Its a EDC15C2

but when I try to read it, then it comes with this error :

Errore SK: -1
Errore seed key

Do I have to take out a fuse or anything to read the ECU ?

galleto may be not good clone for first put ecu id every time and than read or write because if you go write the file and you dont put ecu id you can kill the ecu.
better way use mpps v5 or v12 is stable.

Thats because you are writing and not reading ;)
Seed keys arent used when reading.

If you have problems for first time already,
i prefer to use kwp2000+ in slow mode reading / writing or mpps v12 as colgate preferred as well.

I can confirm Galetto 1260 can read ECU properly, I did test with HI-LO System ALL11 and reading of the 29f400 is the same. I did not tried to program with Galetto due the chip was on external adapter in HI-LO socet.

Just small update!
If ECU is locked - then you can not read over K-Line.
Solution - remove eeprom or made it recode.

Starting carefully here with basics,

Citroen C5 2.2 HDI Break 2004, Galletto 1260 two options for a driver. Bosch edc 15 c2 29f400bt and Bosch edc 15 c2 tab 29f400bt. Which one is to be used, and why 2 different?

May be a stupid question, but have to start somewhere.

I have to disable EGR and FAP pretty fast because one control EV is broken and not too keen on buying a new one.

Annoying that limp mode :(

Edit: Automatic GB
