Stock TL map or curve is decreasing gradually, it means that injected guantity decreases gradually with rising RPM until engine have so little IQ that it can't increase its RPM further. But when you write here a sharp change, (for example from max IQ to zero in differnece of 10RPM) engine rise its rpm, cross the threshold, sets fuel to zero, rpms fall down, cross thresold, again set max fuel , rise rpm, cross thresold... and so on :) So I thing the key to victory is in fast decrease in torgue limiter in narrow rpm range. But it is only my idea :D i didnt try it .. Am I right? :) And also I dont want to know what must be happening in injection pump :D Poor setting solenoid have to change its position from min to max multiple times in second.. :? (in nonPD car of course :) )

hi thats exactly what i have done in my map at the point of cut i have 65mg with a 10rpm gap to 0mg i get the limiter you see in the video.

Porcorn rev limiter is basically an injection cut at high rpm's. Know some people with PD130 engines and they have it cutting arround 5300rpm and just the problems as usual, sometimes something broke but maintnance more often will avoid bigger problems.

To do it, just go to the torque limiter and change 5/10/15 rpm after the limit you choose the IQ to 0mg. The distance between the rpm limiter and the cut of injection will reveal the intensity of the cut (slow or fast)

For better results, sound, ... full direct 60mm stainless steel exhaust from the turbo to the rear 8-)

The most brutal popcorn rev limiter that i ever lintened is this Am Motorsport's Seat Ibiza TDI:

So you would have to change the X and Y values,
For example:
Torque Limiter:
4600 RPM = 70
4620 RPM = 55

IQ:

4600 RPM = Normal
4620 RPM = 0

 or

Yes but you should calculate the maps in order to satisfy your needs, not too long and not to short. Thay guy on the video have a +400hp PD130 with lots of stuff and work in it so the piston, cylinder, valves, etc will support that kind rev limiter. ;)

Sounds interesting! I'll try this when my ALH will be swapped into my Caddy mk1! ;D

Tried the popcorn rev limiter on the 130 Hp PD 1.9 TDi.

Useless. :|

You just have a gain if you have more stuff in it like big turbo, injector nozzles with more flow capacity, etc etc. We use to the revs dont low too much when you change gear, so the compressor pressur dont go town too much and you still have some boost avaliable on the next gear. If it is stock and you do a pop corn rev limiter at 4800 its just for the sound xD Men with PD engine revs at +5200

Wow, looks powerfull seriously but some people say that fiat engines dont have evem a 1/4 of reliability of a PD engine
