Another way of doing this on VAG TDIs, if you are using EDC suite, is to activate the launch control map from Actions tab. Follow the instructions from this video:

If you do not like the popcorn effect you can fill the the rev columns , from 1890 rpm to 2450 with a iq limit 13 instead of 0, for the corresponding speed lines (from 0 km/h to 6.5km/h in the video) . This wil reduce the popcon effect

The question was how to make the popcorn efect, this is one way to make it when you start from first gear.

But what you said is lauch controll, it´s a rev limiter yes, but the question here is "redline rev limiter" ;)

Ive never had reliabilty issues with fiat/alfa engines apart from egrs failing and the odd water pump.

PD130 and other ones are 8v too and you can get easily 250hp :P with your engine you could extract much more power, but just if you have money to spend like any other car :lol:

PD130/150 have better injectors than the fiat engine ;) cant get much more than 230bhp I would guess as the injectors cant cope. Ive seen 250bhp+ on PD130 just with bigger turbo. crazy awesome engines

Bigger turbo, Bigger FMIC, +120% nozzles , port-n-polish, dual spring valve springs, inlet and outlet bigger valves, sachs racing reforced clutch kit, forged pistons and rods... and you have here +320hp/+500Nm certainly with a good studied remap. That studied remap is my study from the last 3 month :lol:
