MB w203 C200 CDI 116PS not sure which file to use...

Postby Mimi » Tue Oct 14, 2014 7:34 pm

Dear members,

I want to remap my w203 and bought some tools for tuning. I have the dvd (tuning files dvd) with modified files but I'm not sure which file to use because there is no explanation so much there. I know that the car has edc15c6 but in the folder there are files which I found to be also for edc16.

Does anybody has tried to remap the w203 and give me a direction which is the best bin file to use?

Regards,
Mimi

Do not use non of those files. With them if you are lucky you will kill only your ECU. If you are not so lucky the car will start with the new file but you will kill your engine in few days.

Read and learn a lot.

Then download a file from your car and start tweaking it.

Never upload a file you don't know - that is either made by someone else (probably unknown) or bought on the net. And most probably another SW version and so incompatible with your ECU and coding.

As told, sometimes you're lucky enough to brick an ECU. :D

Thank you guys for the replies. I'll try to download the software from the car and compare for the beginning the modification (i knew there are some compare map software's).

I understand the aim of the forum. Sorry for my direct question.
