My little project car
Life started out last year for my last year of university when I realised I didn't need something so economical when I was doing maybe 10 miles a week but also wanted to go to track events
So I got a 2001 MG Zr 160. Yes the style is not to everyone taste but it is a bright light of colour against the boring silvers and greys of so many modern cars
The car has had its faults, the main being unsurprisingly head gasket failure which was more down the previous owners lack of interest in doing the job properly as I found when I took the head off and found he hadn't put the gasket in properly. Despite this the car had done a good few thousand miles in my ownership and a few hours on track before giving up.
However before this I decided to try and learn more about the car and how she works mainly in the ecu area as I knew a few more ponies could be had back out of her from it especially when I start going down the cams route although I'm also currently working on the suspension as that is its greatest weakness at the moment
